Over this year, majority of the clients we see, have spoken about wanting to be a force for greater good or of positive change and are passionate about leaving a worthwhile legacy that will last for generations after them.
For these clients and all who seek to leave a positive legacy each day, Acres Plus Professional Services is so pleased to share one of our favourite poems from the newly published book titled ‘Fragments of Time – A book of Poems’ by Aseoluwa Ajeigbe, a 12 year old student of Tanglin Trust School, Singapore
It is a poem titled ‘LEGACY WE LEAVE’ (page 31), extracted below:
When your last day comes, and the end is near,
Will you look back on the legacy you left here,
With a tear in your eye that you didn’t do enough,
Or proud that you’ve braved the road that’s been tough
Learn from the past and try to make it right
The future won’t be perfect but it need not be plight,
To improve the world is something we can all achieve,
If we focus on improving the legacy we leave.
Days come and days go
You tell yourself you’ll change so
You let time go on and procrastinate
You do the thing you’ve learnt to hate
The time is nigh; time to change
It may be tough; it may feel strange
But the thing we are remembered for
Must be very impactful, before
We leave this earth
That we’ve been on since birth,
So your friends and family, as they grieve
Remember the legacy you leave.
